I decided to make my own tumeric capsules, after reading & hearing about the health benefits. Since it is currently a very trendy & popular supplement, it's also pretty expensive. I bought 1,000 gelatin capsules on Amazon for about $15. But since I am a member of Swagbucks, I did some surveys & got $15 in gift cards, making them free to me.
If you are curious interested in checking out Swagbucks, here's my referral link: https://www.swagbucks.com/refer/MichaelannD UPDATE: If you've been reading my blog for a while or if you subscribe to either it or my YouTube channel, you may already know that I make my own tumeric capsules (February 04, 2020). ^ I recently discovered that one of my blue tank tops has tumeric stains that I cannot get out. I tried baking soda & vinegar, I tried bleach. No luck. I was about to throw it away when I realized that I should keep it & leave it in the kitchen with my apron. No point in wearing the apron with another shirt & getting it stained as well. Reminded me of when I was a kid, my mother would save a shirt that was already stained & I took it to school to use for art class. The perfect art smock, because who cared if it got stained.
I decided to get some videos since it's snowing, but unlikely to stick. I took one video from my living room video & one downstairs outside the entrance to my building. I combined them into one video using All Free Video Joiner, which you can get here: http://www.allfreevideoconverter.com/index.html
They have a lot of interesting & useful freeware audio & video software programs.
Friday, January 10, 2020 It was snowing when I got up this morning. I took some videos & some photos, which I pit together using Movie Maker, which is/was available for free from Microsoft.
I was watching several videos on making your own Velveeta & decided to try my hand at it again. I don't really like cheddar, so I used pepperjack cheese & habanerojack. I didn't have powdered milk, so I just used 1 cup of milk, brought to a boil instead. Hot & spicy, soft & gooey yumminess! My taste buds are doing the happy dance in my mouth!!
We all love a good deal, right. Well, Urban Behaviour at Highstreet Mall in Abbotsford has a lot of lovely, sexy shirts, tube tops, etc. on for $5 and up. Oh & did you know that the Dollar Tree at 5 corners, have t-shirts & tank tops for $1.25 (plus tax), for a total of $1.40 each. And the Dollarama across the street sometimes has t-shirts, but they are a bit more. The Dollar Tree & Dollarama on Marshall road have a nice selection, as well. They also carry socks & underwear.
EDIT> I discovered on Monday, that the Dollar Tree in Bellingham also carries t-shirts, socks & hats.
Speaking of saving money, have you ever considered giving up cable? I did & it ain't that bad. If you are in Canada, CBC, CTV, Global & CITV all have shows online that you can watch for free the day after they come out on TV. Links are here: https://www.globaltv.com/shows
In the US, CBS, NBC & FOX also do this. ABC has something similar, but you have to wait a week after the broadcast date. Netflix is still under $10 a month I think, & in the US, Hulu is $7.99 a month & it also has a free trial & optional add-ons for HBO, Showtime & Cinemax (at an extra cost, of course). You can also watch Crackle online, but it is no longer available in Canada, sorry.. Plus there's a lot of interesting content available on YouTube. I even have a channel there: https://www.youtube.com/user/MichaelannDahlman/videos
I am planning on doing a lot more videos there, including book reviews & other vlogs.
