It's been an interesting week. We went into  Bellingham to do a bit of shopping & tried Jimmy John's for the 1st time. I was quite impressed.

Yesterday, Robert & I went to El Nopal for lunch, our favorite little Mexican restaurant, right here in Sumas, WA.

And today we went to the grand re-opening of the Sumas library. It was packed, noisy & fun. And apparently we aren't the only ones who love the library.

I'm putting together a number of resources on this post, to help anyone who is trying to improve their health, fitness & life, in 2023. I'll add more every chance I get.

I've been a free member of YogaUOnline for years now. Here's a few of their best recent posts:  I got similar advice from my chiropractor, years ago. Good posture aids in good health. Your spine is an essential part of your support system. https://www.facebook.com/MyYogaUOnline/videos/1529781670875573/

I've heard & read a lot of stuff on subliminal messaging, so I decided to try Subliminal Guru. They offer you 2 free albums  to try out their service. I tried their weight loss & photographic memory albums. I haven't seen much in the way of results yet, but I also haven't been using them very consistently. They will of course try to get you to buy more, but never feel obligated to buy, just because you tried a free sample.  https://subliminalguru.com/

Happy New Year, everyone! I started the New Year the way I often do, looking for bargains for next Christmas. I got some beautiful Disney wrapping paper yesterday at the Dollar Tree in Abbotsford @ 5 corners. And today I found a gorgeous lighted ornamental tree, that fits on my desk!

My husband & I had originally planned to go across the border & spend Christmas at my place in Mission, but our plans were altered by the weather. I just wanted to make sure I got another Christmas card video out before tomorrow. Added a few photos & graphics to this post.

I hope you are enjoying whatever you celebrate & that 2023 is full of wonderful surprises for you.

snow in Sumas 01

It snowed last night in Sumas WA & I went outside to make a very quick video. Also, I made a mistake in the video, it's not currently 12F here, it's 18F, which is still very cold!! A note for my Canadian friends 18F = -6C

Christmas lights in Sumas Park

I took 2 videos of the Christmas lights in Sumas WA last night & joined them together with Movie Maker.

I went into Vancouver on Sunday on the Santa train. I made a video (partly at the Mission train station & some at Port Haney) & took quite a few pictures of some of the new murals, since I missed the mural festival this summer, thanks to all the smoke.

Here's some photos of the train trip down, it was really beautiful until we got to Pitt Meadows. It got really foggy from there, all the way to Coquitlam.

I had a lovely afternoon in the city, I've really missed it after the summer we had. I checked out a few murals.

I just had to get this sign as well as the mural after, I was a great admirer of Rosemary Brown.
These are at the West End community center.

And these 2 were on the side of King George secondary school.

These are along Denman, on my way to English Bay.

I got 4 shots of the Inukshuk (2 with me) & one of English Bay.

This Christmas tree was just above & to the West of the beautiful artificial waterfall at Bentall center (across from Burrard Skytrain station), which has been converted into outdoor restaurant patio seating.
                                                            This is on Burrard street.

This is next to the Burrard Skytrain station, to the South.
And luckily right before my camera died, I got my picture taken with Santa & Mrs. Claus before catching the Santa train home.
